ASN: Accuracy

Amazon did not receive an Advance Shipment Notification (ASN) before receiving the vendors shipment at a fulfilment centre, or that some required information in the vendors ASN was invalid or missing.

The amount for this chargeback fee varies from EUR 0.30 to  EUR 1.70 Plus cost of item (+ 85% PCOGS).

Delivery: No show

The carrier does not show up for the confirmed delivery slot and the vendor does not cancel the confirmed appointment in advance.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 290 per non-compliance.

Delivery: Rejected

A delivery is not compliant with Amazon’s delivery requirements or Amazon encountered problems during receipt of the vendors delivery. If this happens, Amazon may refuse the delivery at the vendor’s expense, which may also result in a chargeback.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 290 per non-compliance.

Direct Fulfilment: Cancelation

The vendor cancels an order, either because the vendor denied an order that Amazon submitted (formerly known as fill failure), or because the vendor began to fulfill an order, we submitted but could not complete it (formerly known as floor denial).

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 10 per issue.

Frustration-Free Packaging/ Ships In Own Container

The vendor sent Amazon products greater than 45.5 x 34.0 x 26.5 cm or greater than 12.3 kg that have not been certified by Amazons Frustration-Free Packaging program.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 1.70 per unit received for any ASIN that is not certified with Amazon.

Import Shipment: Late booking

The Vendor did not submit a booking to Amazon’s origin service provider, Century Distribution Systems, Inc. (CDS), at least 14 days prior to the Ship Window Open Date for your Ocean shipment. If you are shipping by Air, the booking must be made at least 3 days prior to the Ship Window Open Date.

The amount for this chargeback is 3% of the cost of the product.

Import Shipment: Late delivery of documents

The vendor did not deliver the trade documents required for shipment to Amazon’s origin service provider, Century Distribution Systems, Inc. (CDS), within 4 days after the Estimated Vessel Departure Date for Ocean freight, or by the day of the Estimated Flight Departure Date for Air freight.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 50 per document set per day late (starting after day 4) for Ocean freight, or EUR 150 per document set per day late for Air freight.

Import Shipment: PO not on time

The Estimated Cargo Delivery Date entered into the online booking system of Amazon’s origin service provider, Century Distribution Systems, Inc. (CDS), was not within the Shipping Window designated in the purchase order (PO) for the vendors import shipment.

The amount for this chargeback is 3% of the cost of the product.

PO: On time accuracy

Vendor confirmed products do not arrive within the purchase order window, including items placed on backorder.

Amazon will waive this chargeback for a given week (defined as Monday to Sunday) if the previous four-week average on-time rate was greater than 90%.

PO: Overage

Amazon received more products than a vendor confirmed in the purchase order (PO).

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 0.60 per unit.

PO: Paper invoice

The vendor submits invoices to Amazon using a method other than our approved electronic invoicing options.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 5 per paper invoice.

Prep: Bagging

A product that requires a bag was not bagged, or was not properly bagged.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 0.55 per unit.

Prep: Barcode labelling

A unit could otherwise not be received to a particular ASIN. An item might not have a barcode or the barcode may not be machine readable. Or the barcode might scan but resolves to multiple or incorrect ASINs.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 0.30 per unit.

Prep: Boxing

Amazon needs to box your products to:

  • Keep product parts together
  • Replace a damaged box
  • Protect the product if the original packaging does not provide enough protection

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 0.77 per unit.

Prep: Bubble Wrap

The vendor did not properly bubble wrap its products that are fragile, sharp, or have loose pieces that cannot be secured with tape alone.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 0.78 per unit.

Prep: Taping

The products were not properly secured for shipment.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 0.40 per unit.

Receive: Carton Content Accuracy

The products or the product quantities in a box we received does not match exactly the information in the Advance Shipment Notification (ASN). There are two types of Carton Content Accuracy chargebacks: Unexpected item overage and Unexpected quantity overage.

The fee for Unexpected item overage is EUR 0.22, and for Unexpected quantity overage EUR 0.30 per unit.

Receive: Carton Info Compliance

Amazon in unable to recognize or scan a barcode when we receive a box of items at a fulfillment center.

The amount for this chargeback is EUR 0.14 per non-compliant unit received.
